The following is a list of tasks that will be performed in flight to a safe standard.  Two to five hours or as needed to perform each task to a safe standard or FAA minimum.

 

A.   Preflight.

 

B.  Takeoff and landings, normal, short, soft, x-wind, gusty, and hydroplaning.

 

C.  En route climb, level off, leaning, descent, into flight levels on initial, Proper planning so as to make a cruise descent, ATC permitting.

 

D.  Steep power turns, left and right, within 100' and 10 degrees of heading.

 

E.  Stall series with and without power in various configurations, flaps, gear, etc.

 

F.  Pressurization malfunction with emergency descent to 14000' and glide without power to landing site.

 

G.  Electrical failure, simulation of smoke in cockpit, operating on an emergency buss.  Trouble shooting alternator/generator failure while flying.

 

H.  Basic instrument under hood, with ILS, VOR, DME, RNAV, NDB, GPS approaches and unusual attitudes.

 

I.  Operation in and out of high density airports using proper radio ID and phraseology.

 

J.  For multi-engine aircraft, operation on single-engine in climbs, level and descent to landing VMC, and IMC.

 

K.  Post flight critique and issue of certificate if completed all phases in a safe manner.
